Hate is like poison

The thing about me is simple.  I speak my mind.  Some people may talk behind your back, and murmur against you when you’re not there to defend yourself.  However, that’s not me.  If I have a problem with you you’re going to know about it.  With that being said, I also know that there is a time and place and age to let things go.

I could spend my entire life agonizing over something or someone who I feel has wrong me, been a back biter, or or out and out I don’t like.  That’s not going to solve any problems though.  It’s like drinking poison and hoping the other person you’re mad at gets sick.  Venom and hate are only going to drag you down.  So what do I have to do?  I can have hard feelings, but that won’t do anything.  Kindness and forgiveness is what our life should be about.

I’ve known a lot of people who have chased the almighty dollar, and they may have all the material possessions in the world, some of those things may even bring them joy, but what fun is a massive boat if you don’t have anyone to share it with?  I guess the point I’m trying to make here is that life is too short (I know really bad cliche) to have so much anger.  Do what makes you happy.  Sure not everyone is going to have a job that they jump for joy when they get up in the morning, but that doesn’t have to suck the life and happiness  out of us.  Go outside and take a walk through the park, take your kids fishing, read a book, do service and good for others.  These are all things that can bring us true happiness.  I’m not saying not to provide for your family or buy nice things.  In fact if you have the means then do so, but make sure you have someone in your life to share all the awesome things with.  This world is a lot more fun when you have a travel partner.
